• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

CanAm service and parts

It is aparent to me that after several months on this forum , the biggest problem we have with our Spyders is the lack of great servicing dealers, and the gross inability of BRP to get parts and accessories to the dealers in a timely manner. I have ordered 2 accessory items from my dealer and it took a combined lead time just shy of 4 months to get them. We owners have a right to expect to use our machines as we need to. we should not have to wait with long lead times. I love my Spyder, but am not necessarily in love with the company that made it.What can we do to get BRP to be more responsive?

The SL sponsors are pretty good at getting items to customers. BRP leaves something to be desired on some items. Four months to get an accessory is pretty long in my book.

Folks lets put this in perspective. First off I am in the same boat as you all in that I live in a small town that has one very small dealer. They have zero stock on had other than oil change kits, one XS rain suit, a pair of med size gloves and a chrome add on for the RT. they have had an open order for practically everything since 2007. I asked the manager what gives? He said that the priority dealers are those who sell lots of Spyders, sort of makes sense until you realize that there are tons of small dealers who sell only a few Spyders because they only get a few to sell. It's a definite "Catch 22" situation. Then you have those dealers who feel that all of the accessories and extra parts are unneeded since they can order what they want and not warehouse the stuff at the dealer. Well this creates a lot of demand at the BRP warehouses and ordering center. Then add that all of the parts have to go through customs and distribution. It's not a good system. In comparison we also have a small multi-Japanese brand store. They have a similar issues with bike branded parts and accessories but there are warehouses and distrubution centers near each large city in Georgia. Add to this the tremendous growth of the Spyder Brand Products and it's easy to see what problems BRP is having. Should it be better, yes will it get better, hopefully yes. Am I optimistic, no.

Try this site

I used cheapsycleparts.com for few things that I wanted to replace on the Spyder and they have everything in stuck. I made 2 orders and both were on Saturdays and in both cases the items were delivered before next weekend. If you look into their OEM section, they have everything BRP carries for our bikes and their webiste is easy to use. I actually tried my dealer first and the price plus NJ tax was about 15% marked up than what I paid for it with shipping. I am actually surprised they are not a sponsor on this site. When I called and spoke to them, they seemed to know what they were doing.

Hi, here in P.R we have one dealer and don't get me going about their service . They are good with sea doo's and atv's, but spyders are in last place in priorities. When I need a part I call them to check (they don't have anything but oil and filters). I contact SHS powersports, they are cheaper, faster and a lot friendlier.
