• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Can you tell us how that compares with average 31 mpg for the 998's here in the US? I had one of those. Left hand signature picture.

Thanks for doing the "Heavy Lifting" on the Math for us!

I'm getting the same as Peter on average with my 2012RTS. I will get around 250km before the fuel light comes on. Cheers Glenn

Do you guys have ethanol in your fuel in New Zealand? That puts a real kink in the mileage that a lot of us get back here...

Wow...!!

That's great. With a lot of variables here I can get 33 mpg's on a good day. That's about 52.8 kilometers per US gal. RT's don'the do as well (998's). Enjoy your Ryder and good mileage. ..:clap:

Metric vs US

Still seems to be lots of confusion.

4 litres is equal to 1.05 US gal. For quick use, figure approx 4 litres per gal.
160 kms is equal to 100 miles. That equates to 100 kms is approx 62 miles.

hope this helps everybody equate what Canada and the rest of the world say regarding mpg:D

I usually check my mileage each gas tank fill. It's the accountant in me. :roflblack::roflblack: My overall average is 31 on any 998 and 39-40 on my 1330.

I did achieve 35 mpg one time on my 2010 RT. It was at speeds less than 50 and the wind at my back most of the time.

WARNING, WARNING, WARNING, YOUR MILEAGE MAY VARY. :roflblack::roflblack:

No ethanol in the fuel, and I use either 98 octane or 95 if 98 is unavailable. This really improves the fuel efficiency.

Hi Mate sorry", I only just saw this post and I just read the stats on your question.
31 MPG = 10.974 KPL.
my low fuel light comes on at
140 Miles which is 220 KMS

Regards Peter

Hi Glenn', I just had a read through this old post and I do the same no ethanol and 98 or 95 . I get a good run if I just ride on a long distance, but around town it's like anything e.g. Car, Motorbike, Spyder

the consistant ride without stopping and starting is good KPL

regards Peter

G'day peteRT

2010RT 2 up with trailer.

I got 9.2/100 after 6200k. Gold Coast- Tasmania - Gold Coast.

Thought that was reasonable.

Cheers and Beers
