To all of our Canadian Friends:
I realize that we are two separate Countries, with differing viewpoints on some items of discussion...
This morning; Fox News was questioning why your Country has such strict Gun-Contol laws.
(I'm pretty sure that you recognize me as one of the folks in here who stands up for our Second Amendment Rights...)
Yet I'm mildly offended by the reporter who tries to judge your Country; not by your own laws, but by ours... :shocked:

I've hunted Caribou in Northern Quebec; I've seen your laws in action. they work for you, and I don't allow myself the luxury of trying to second-guess that.
What do you think of this? :dontknow:

We are different... at least in some departments. It's the same between French Canadian (Quebecers) and the rest of Canada, but we can still live together in one country.

What is good for us may not be good for the american people... Personnaly, I don't like guns except for hunting. But, I respect people choices to buy guns if they respect our laws.

The good news is: Americans and Canadians are friends. Two great nation, two great neighbors.

Personally, I don't think guns in the hand of the average Canadian is any kind of answer. Guns are best left in the hands of professionals. Last thing we need is a gunfight on the open streets by a bunch of Dirty Harrys. I have always said that if you need a gun on you to feel safe then you have lost your sense of freedom. Of course the bad guys will always be able to get a hold of a gun but that is what we have our police for. It works for us generally.

My sentiments exactly. I do support hunters and hunting, This works for us. There will always be lunatics or fanatics, they would find a way to do harm even if everyone was armed, we must trust that our professionals will quickly contain a situation, as was demonstrated yesterday, by Kevin Vickers who used his training as a former RCMP officer.

Like I said, that works for us. Good neighbors can have different opinions, so Bob I support your right to bear arms, just not in my house. Oh except to hunt Caribou. And we do have an over abundance of Moose (did someone say Meese, in Newfoundland so hunters are welcome.
