• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Can we set a record in Cowtown Spyderfest next year?

Would you want to part of a World Record Spyder gathering?

I've been making plans to attend this event next year. I'm trying to work things out so I can attend the Spyders in the Smokies this year, but things are not looking very promising right now. Maybe things will change before Sept.

I think it would be very possible. Not only do we have a great beginning by having one Spyderfest under our belt along with a great dealer who supports Spyders 100% but Missouri is a very central location with great people and great roads. Couple that with the best on line group of Spyder Riders we should be able to blow past that record.

Count us in :2thumbs: we will be there :yes:missed the fun this year ... that wont happen again !!!:ohyea:

If thats the case and school is the concern, and it should be simply cause I'm sure there are several hundred members that have kids in school and I hate to suggest this but some time after Memorial Day Week-end would be a SAFE bet that all the schools will be out for the summer, I'm sure you all will figure it out though, makes no differance to me, I'm past that stage of my life...

IMO we should make it before June 1st., because other organizations schedule their events beginning in June. It seems most school years end by the middle of May. I don't think anyone will bring school aged children anyway. It would be the teachers-on-Spyders that we should be concerned about. They just might have to get "sick". Most Spyder owners seem to be on the "older" side. Next year they will be even older. For me, April worked out wonderfully.

I'll be there And sure Seth will also we gotta a score to settle with that trip:2thumbs: Oh and Doc winters are long here in Iowa so I will utilize that time to prepare for some aggressive testing,,Will You be ready???:roflblack::roflblack:

Len when I get mine back I'm planning a day trip down to visit Cuba again, just need to finish my trip that was cut short. Give ya a holler before we'll get lunch if you want:ohyea:

School here in Iowa figure 1st week in June, but I'll come whatever the date.
Best family reunion I've been too.

Spyderfest 2011

I had a great time this year and met so many great folks, that I will defenitely be there next year. Len and Vanessa and the missouri gang, plus the town of Cuba know how to "throw a party". Since I have a flexible schedule, any dates will work for me.:ohyea:

School here in MN doesn't get out till early June. So mid-June would likely be best for anyone with child concerns round these parts.

Not quite . . . .

. . . . dead center, but the closest thing we have to be the "Heart of Spyder Country, USA".

If there is anyway I can make it, you will see me in Cowtown 2011.

Are the fun and games....

Hey whatever we need to do to make it work we will do! It would be pretty cool to set the world record in the us:2thumbs:! Lamont sounds awesome. We did have a date set but Lamonts right it might be better to move it out a few more weeks.......should we run a poll????? Last years Spyderfest was really a good time and all the spyderolvers made it happen in just a few weeks notice. So I agree with Lamont the world record is within our means, so move dates, add locations, stand on our head whatever it takes:yes:! We all have alot more instore for 2011 spyderfest starting on thursday with a big bond fire with fireworks, a band and for sure some one running the grill!! friday will include a pancake breakfast in town, served in the big tent, also a ladys ryde/shopping trip, and a shuttle will be provided for all thos sharing a spyder, also several vendors, and food stands with the can-am spyder truck giving rides. also ride rout maps will be provided with detailed info on trips, points of intrest, milage, times, and so on. Friday night will have 3 diffrent locations for dinner with the gang, and once again the after party to be held at the country club, for the game, spyders on the green, also more fireworks, food, drinks and a band. Saturday will be the main event with a big barbque, more games, the main ryde, dinner a banquet, a band again, and fire works, a bike show and a praide....also the big record setting day!!! sponsers and vendors, aswell as some tech sessions. So should be something going on. Sunday morning will be breakfest and store open till 2 for any last minute adjustments or repairs. So whatever we need todo to make this work we will do.SPYDERFEST 2011

G-rated....or at the very least PG? The only way I would be able to make it is if My Lady and youngster can come.

Schools out May 28th here, may vary some year by year, but anything after the end of May.

do have children to think about. If we want maximum participation we need to take that into consideration.

By that time....

My Lady may have her RT....which would add another Spyder to the event. How many other couples may be in the same condition? The second bike purchased so children can come with.

I will make it, after april would be great so I do not have to shovel out my spyder when I leave dirt town.

I will never ride or drive anything without a top, air conditioner, and windshield wipers east of the Rockies. riding in the rain and scraping bugs off my ride are at the very bottom of my list of things I want to do on a bike.

Family Friendly!

Speaking as a momma--I don't think you'll have a problem with things being family friendly. There are some great things to do in the area as well.

If there are families that will be attending, please send me a PM so we have an idea of the SpyderKyds that will be there.

Where is your adventurous spirit! The call of the wild! The challenge of the unknown!

There can be no Thrill of Victory without the possibility of Agony of Defeat! (Or having to break into your $4000 Bush-Tec trailer with a claw hammer at midnight after an 1150 mile day underneath the security cameras at the hotel :yikes:)

You would throw away the opportunity to meet me..."The Ron of Baja" just for fear of a few bugs on the front and a bit of H2O on the brow? Oh ye of little faith!

Think of the opportunity and potential you will forfeit!

There will be a seat at the table left empty,
A plate with no food there-upon,
A little less joy on our scenic ride,
A little less thrill in our song.

One less friendly hand to shake,
A smiling face not there,
All because of a bug splat or two,
And fear of skies not so fair.

Ah for the days of yester-year,
When men threw caution to the wind,
Setting sail on the stormy sea,
Those days may ner' be again,

Oh doth there yet breathe in the hearts of some,
Who strive, against odds, to overcome,
A Ride to CowTown where all will be one,
To win the trophy of friendship and fun!

This sounds like a fun trip. I would have to exchange the BRP Owners Event next year for this ride but if you nail down some dates (maybe a week or two later or closer to June) I would be willing to give up the BRP event for this. We would still get the opportunity to meet with our friends and have a good time while doing something that could be crazy fun. Got to talk to social director (wife) but I think we are in.

Yea, what he said! :roflblack:

Oh Ron of the Baja, we missed meeting you in Los Angeles last year. Lamont said you were off running around somewhere. We hope to meet up with you this year in Chicago.
