• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Can someone please tell me what BRP calls that " God Awful Yellow " that I've seen?

Oh Oh

Now you're going to get forum-yelled-at for shouting by using capital letters.

Wet and rainy in Alabama tonight so no riding....but at least I can come here and :roflblack:

You need to see one up close. It has a nice metallic sheen. Plus, it's highly visible -- you obviously took note of the ones you saw, right?

Some do....

Colour choice can be a wonderful thing ... to each their own for sure . I have a friend who has a successful car dealership ....has a big picture of a Yellow Corvette in his office and tells me " out of the thousands of cars I've sold this is the sexiest colour ever" . I was going to buy a Blue Spyder for my first one ( didn't act fast enough ) and I had two friends tell me not to buy it because " it's not a guy colour " .... I love blue . At a bike night a couple years back my wife and I were talking to a gentleman who had a new fulll load RT limited , she said " oh its beautiful even though I don't like yellow" ... he actually got very offended and ended the conversation. Freedom of speech is a great thing but well thought out speech makes better conversation 🤝

when my yellow:spyder2: is clean you can see the metallic pop & it is a great color & even when it is dirty it is still very visible
on the road. you may think i have an ugly color but i won't be the :spyder2: squished on the road.

We get enough grief from 2-wheel riders who look down their noses at Spyders, and HD snobs, etc., etc., etc. Who cares what they think? And who cares what you think of the circuit yellow Spyders?

Ryde more, sneer less.

Patty, Patty your letting the "Badger" out a bit! :joke:

So, Mr Tomline, are you talking about recent Spyder yellow paintwork or the 2008 - 2009 GS/RS yellow & black paintwork. I found the latter most attractive.

Can you tell an RT from an RS/GS/RSS?

HONEST I REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY AM SORRY! I DIDN'T MEAN TO OFFEND ANYONE! IT'S JUST THAT THERE ARE SO FEW OF THEM ON THE ROAD? I thought that because there are so few out on the road that it wasn't a big seller or asked for often. AGAIN I APOLOGIZE FOR MY CALLOUS REMARKS! THE MEMBERS ON HERE HAVE HELPED ME IMMENSELY IN MY BEING A " NEWBIE" TO THE SPYDER WORLD! I'M SURE THAT MANY OF MY QUESTIONS WERE THE RESULT OF MY NOT BEING PATIENT AND SEARCHING THE SITE THOROUGHLY! PLEASE FORGIVE ME?

:D Nothing to forgive: this was just a misunderstanding between family members!
It happens! nojoke

Millennium Yellow

I wanted a blue and then I got this one and would not sell it for the world

Yellow is, by far, the most viable color (and safest). Just look at a group of parked bikes of different colors and the yellow will jump out. My previous GoldWing (now my wifes bike) is Metalic Pearl Yellow. Great color for both boys and girls

hahahaha.......methinks some people are just being a little thin skinned, Tomline.;) There really wasn't anything offensive in your post unless you really were looking for something. I read it as simply expressing an opinion, which is what everyone does on this site.;) However, if I had a yellow Spyder instead of a red one, I would have been REALLY p1ssed off ! Na, maybe not :ohyea:
