Can Not Get Key to Open trunk or seat?

Put to much in front compartment and now key will not open trunk or seat? Have tried releasing pressure on lid and turning key but does not release, any idea's.

Try holding frunk lid lid down and turning key at same time

When you insert the key, push it in further and twist to the right to open seat or to the left to open frunk

Have you tried simultaneously hitting the lid at the latch point and using the key or the electric latch button?
2014 does not have the electric latch button.

Yes. I have pushed the lid down as far as it will go and then turned the key with out it opening. Key just turns without resistance were as before slight resistance before unlatching.

Might try try it with the motor running ( brake on )

Did not realize I could open it with the motor running, but it still did not open. Have turned it off and taken key out and then started it but the computer is not letting me open it!

you prouable already know but im going to say it ,because it happened to me on my frist spyder,you must push the key in and then twist to open the seat or open the trunk.:thumbup:

If it's a new machine take it back to the dealer. Please let us know what year & model you have, that would help.

It's a 2014 Spider RT limited. I just overpacked the front compartment and it's putting to much pressure on the latch or the switch is broken. Pushing or applying pressure on the cover does not release the latch. Just received some help from Spiderider Jim and was able to release the latch on the seat with a hooked wire. Cable wire does not move when key is pushed down and turned. Hopefully I can get it in tomorrow and that's an 80 mile drive to the shop but then it will be 80 in Phoenix tomorrow. Now that I can fill it with gas and know I can ride tomorrow the world is a better place.:bowdown: Thanks for all the help!!!
