• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Can I swap Wheels with another model?

I am pretty sure I know the answer to this but I'll ask it anyway. I have a '12 RT-L and I am interested in getting some take off wheels to do a little something different. I found a set on ebay that was listed as fitting a GS or an RT. Can this be accurate? I know the width and diameter are the same but from what I think I understand, the offset is different. Thanks.

P.S. This is the Part # 706200669

That is correct, the RS wheels have less offset. Fewer spokes on some versions, too, so they may not be as strong.

I have RS wheels on my 2011 RT-S, if this what you are going to do, you will need to install a 1/2" spacer on the bottom of the fender support brackets, to move the fenders in towards the bike.

I also have RS wheels on my 2010 RT and all you need to do is add the 1/2" spacers to the fender brackets. Works just fine.

Question: I can understand putting RT shoes under an RS to widen the bike a bit for better stability in turns...
Do the RT jockeys who've gone the other way notice any handling changes??

Rear wheel and sprocket

Do you also have the rear RS wheel and a sprocket?

They never seem to be mentioned.

I am about to get the two front wheels and the rear wheel and the sprocket from a 2012 RSS for my 2011 RT.

Thanks so much

I'd look into that pretty carefully first. I don't think the bearings or castings are as robust on the RS as on the RT. Not sure about the RSS. You don't want weaker parts on a heavier machine!

Going to do that. Good point, even though several have done it.

Did you get a rear wheel also? I posted ref a potential rear wheel in a set I may buy. Seems to be a mystery ref the use of a RS rear wheel. Or, maybe it's so easy it never gets mentioned.:opps:
Thanks
