• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Can I reboot the ECM on a 2010 RSS?

Can the ECM be rebooted without having to use the BUDS system? Will a reboot fix an ongoing P0600 code?
No, because a Spyder ECM doesn't run on Windows.

So seriously now, there are 4 variants of the P0600 code for the 2010 RS.
- Communications fault detected by the ECM
- Communication fault with the VCM
- Communications fault with the Cluster
- Security coding fault with the Cluster (ie wrong Cluster)

Along with what the Marner said - and yes definitely check your battery, terminal connections, grounds, corrosion, etc - troubleshooting steps involve checking for wiring issues in the harness, a faulty fuse F9, (and others) and taking a lot of continuity readings between the ECM, VCM and Cluster. BUDS will help you to identify which variant that you have, unless you can tell by other symptoms. BUDS does not "reboot". That essentially happens every time you power-up. Bottom line, you fix an ongoing code by repairing the ongoing problem that is causing it. Good Luck.

I was taught that at in the 1960's as an USCG ET and National Cash Register in 1969 and on, in classes on mechanical and electronic machines.
