Just tried to search how to delete posts/threads. I found Peter Aawen's post on why not to delete posts. I feel a little silly asking dumb questions sometimes, so I usually delete after getting the answer. I do that a lot on FB. It makes sense about the search feature.
Sorry for my dumb questions.
This is just one of the great things about Forums over faceache - Forums create a database of shared knowledge that
IS searchable, so it's not ever truly lost or buried in all the crap, like it so often is on sites like faceache, especially if posters go back and delete their threads!

- If
YOU (or anyone else) wanted to know what it was and were game enough to ask, then I'm
absofreakinlutely positive that there's
at least a dozen others out there who also wanted to know but
WEREN'T game enough to ask!!
So please, don't be too concerned that your questions might be 'dumb' - the only truly 'dumb question'
is the one you DIDN'T ASK!! Also, please don't be so selfish as to think you should keep the answers to these questions to yourself and delete the thread once you get an answer - the only way we can grow the broader community's knowledge base is to share that knowledge; after all, that's partly why where here!! To help do that, we try to keep it all available and searchable - and we're proud to say that there's really not too much about Spyders that hasn't at least been raised here since they first hit the streets/the Forum started waaay back in 2008 (ish), you only have to find it! Even if
our Forum Search facility might not be the greatest, and it's a little hampered by all the threads on the same subject (bloody oil and tire threads!!

) and all those threads where the originator didn't briefly ask their question/tell the prospective readers/responders what they expected from the thread in the title; but there's always bots and web crawlers from the big search engines like google & bung, duckduckgo, etc crawling all over the posts and threads here, and you can use
their search facility to find stuff here, especially if you restrict their search to
this site, usually just by adding '
site:spyderlovers.com' to your entered search terms!
So please, ask away - after searching first, of course!
If you do get as far as starting a new thread, then please do briefly ask your question in any new thread title, or at least briefly tell us what you expect from the thread in that title - doing this
WILL help you get answers now, and it will also help all readers and everybody searching for years to come!
Remember, there are no truly dumb questions asked here - if
you feel the need to ask it, there's bound to be others out there who just aren't brave enough to ask. So do them and us a favour, search for the answer to your questions, and if you can't find an existing thread to expand upon (check the dates on it before replying in there tho) ask the question briefly in the title of a new thread, or at least tell us what you expect from the thread - after all, we don't charge by the number of threads you start, or by the number of posts you make

(altho we do frown upon pointless 'post count padding'!!

)
Enjoy, and please share your knowledge & experience - even if some already know the things you post, I'm pretty sure there'll be others who don't, so they'll benefit!! Like I said, it's one of the great things about Forums!
