• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Can anyone identify this part?

I found this laying on the bottom of my RTL frunk.

It goes on the back of your headlights. There are 4 total. Mine fell right off as well when I pulled my headlights out. On mine the 2 outer tubes fell off. They seem to ve a vent tube for the headlights.

I've been trying to find a pic or drawing in the manuals to see where it goes, but have not found one yet. Is it something important enough for me to tear it down again and put it back on?

I'm going to say yes. As the light warms the air inside the headlight assembly it expands and exits via the vent tube. As the headlight cools it will draw air back inside. That air will contain dust and who knows what all contaminants. As this 'breathing' operation continues you'll gradually see the inside of the headlight lens get dirty and/or foggy. As you can see there is a filter in the vent tube.

You can see at the top of this pic where they're located at the upper corner at the back of the headlight.

I think the next time, if and when I pull the headlights out I will put a little rtv on the tube to keep them from falling off.

Well, I tore into it again today. I located these parts on the headlight ass'y and all 4 of them are in place. Also found 2 of them on the fog light assemblies, and they are both in place. So, I'm thinking the one I found in the frunk has been there since the bike was assembled. I'll just hang on to it.
