Can anyone explain the Belt Alignment Procedure for a '22 RTL? Any videos?

My belt on my 2022 Spyder RTL seems to be a little out of alignment as it sits tight against the backside rear drive sprocket. Can anyone explain the process in setting the alignment or know of a video showing it done?

Thanks.

All you have to do is a search at the top right of the page, that should give you enough info to blow your mind, or you tube it! It's not that hard, just take your time and be patient. Is it tight, hard against the pulley? If you go down the street in a straight line, pull to the side of the road, stop and look at it, is it hitting the pulley? The belt's going to float back and forth on the pulley, so if you back up or make a turn and get off and check it, it can be on the pulley most likely, so only check it from a straight stop! You should have a space like a credit card there when you look at it.

If you're going to try to do the job yourself, you need to get a tension gauge so you can get that right first, then work the alignment part of it! Do a search on google or you tube, you can get it!

I looked on youtube and didn't find anything showing my model procedure start to finish, That's the reason I'm asking here.

The procedure for aligning the belt on your 2022 RTL will be the same procedure as that for any 2020+ RT regardless of its spec level; and that procedure will be pretty much the same as the procedure for any F3 with the rectangular swing arms (ie. all F3-T's & F3-L's) &/or any other RT from 2010 on too. :sneaky:

Just Sayin' - there's really not that much difference at all in the belt alignment &/or tension setting procedure for any Spyder with the rectangular swing arms... ;)

Ps: If it's 'just' up 'against the backside of the rear drive sprocket', and not actually climbing it &/or rubbing it so tightly that the belt is showing signs of over-heating/burning cos it's pressed up against it so tightly (yes, both of those can happen), and the tension is otherwise somewhere near the right/your preferred ball park tension, then it's generally pretty safe just to leave it as is and ride on! Sure, it's probably 'best' if there's about a normal credit card's thickness of a gap between the inside flange & the belt (are you sure your credit card's not one of those 'fat' cards??), but if there isn't any gap, just ride your Spyder forwards for a couple of hundred yards and throw in a few left to right swerves and it probably will be! So unless it's exhibiting the symptoms mentioned above & it's not looking like it's going to run off the teeth of the rear pulley on the outside, then don't stress too much - near enough is good enough. ;)
