While Lamont may use the phrase 'turns off traction control for the rear' or something similar early in the piece, I believe that's just 'poetic licence' as later on, he reminds us that 'all the safety features are still there watching out for you' and they've 'just dialled the Nanny back a little'; beside which, none of the tech documentation available that I've been able to access so far reflects that - it ALL says that it 'reduces' or 'limits intervention' by the traction control system to the rear tire only under certain circumstances while still leaving the traction control & stability control systems fully enabled for everything else - and doesn't that mean you aren't actually turning 'the Nanny' off?? I'll stand corrected if someone can point out where it's detailed that the traction &/or stability control systems are disabled or turned off by activating Sports Mode, but I think you might be reading a little more into it than actually happens. :dontknow: Sure, it'd be nice, even if only on the rear tire; but no, not yet anyway, & certainly not on any of the non-F3 models! :gaah:
