• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I just posted a statement on brp web site about spyders not being delivered in northern states because of cold weather. I think its a dam shame, just because of where we ordered we are having to wait ,some for near a year and those in southern states some just a few weeks.I'm not grudging them I'm glad they are. But we should all be treated the same (first in first out).I WOULD LIKE TO GO TO DAYTONA ALSO. wildwillie

I got to wonder how many folks are going to get thier Spyders after Bike Week. That would be a drag. :'(

I can't get my Spyder either, locally there are not a lot of bikes making it out to Central Calif. I hear that I would have had better luck if I lived in So. Cal. Also, I emailed BRP to complain. There has been a "STOP ISSUE" ordered by BRP, why? No posting on their site, no reply from the factory guys. My dealership said that even if it comes in, they cannot issue the bike until further notice from BRP.

Hey, if you have an order with brp for the Spyder, how do you contact them? Do you have an email for brp? I would like to ask them a question about MY order. Thanks.

Hey CSMEAD where in central Cali are you? I'm wondering because i live in Vegas but actually ordered my bike from San Luis. They still seem to think it's going to be early April. I'm first on the list for a silver one or so I'm told.

:agree:

I totally agree on the comments about 'first in-first out' They have me locked in till Mar. 31st with the whole deposit thing but I have to tell you, this will probably be the last time I do a factory order with Can-am....... no way will I go through this again!

It's not the wait, I'm totally ok with that....... it's the TOTAL lack of information. My dealer has no idea, I seem to know more than he does just from hearing it from other places..... which means that SOMEONE from BRP is talking to people from outside...... they haven't updated their 'delivery schedule' post on the BRP website in months and nobody seems to know what the deal is.... I'm truly at a point where I might make a phone call and ask! We all should! maybe it'll get a response if they get 50 phone calls asking about delivery timing and why we're still waiting when others aren't!

:agree: Your right without a drought they have a lot to learn about customer relation. But they have your $1000.00 and they are going to keep it regardless what you say or think. As for the dealers there will be fair ones and those that will try to gouge you as much as they can and can-am or brp could care less and they have made that perfectly clear.wildwillie

Hi gr8fulgolf, I live about 35 miles south of Fresno in Lemoore CA. That is like 100+ miles from SLO (local term for San Luis Obispo). My bike has been ordered through Clawson. Too late, I found that Tulare Honda seems to be more on the ball with info. They knew about the brake problems, where Clawson sales have no idea what is happening. Clawson believes that my bike will be in this weekend or next (delay by factory recall), but they have been assured that I will have it by 3/31/08, per my contract. I (like everyone else) question their bike delivery system. However, I have been reminded that I cannot compare US manufactors practices with companies not based in the US. US companies assign ownership as soon as the order is received. From that moment, the bike is built for that person. Outside the US, the builder makes a thousand bikes anyway they want and then looks on the list to see where they can be sent to fill a request. After they are delivered. The local guy adds all the extra options that the person requested.
