• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Can Am rival?

Two things caught my eye 1293cc and 9 gallons of fuel.
These are two of the most common items on SpyderLover wish lists posted here. Someone is listening... It will be interesting to see if BRP announces a larger version of the RT at Maggie Valley.

Very cool ryde... Looks like the y might be catching on!..... I like the quote "unlike the can-am Spyder it is equiped with a reverse gear box" lol someone didn't do there home work! Makes you question the whole thing:dontknow:.......any ways Steve I don't think BRP won't be making any big annoucements, on new products in the middle of the season. Could hurt the current sales. Lol I already told you my predictions.... U know the ones that are a total guess....:roflblack:

Rumour has it that 3 of these have been reserved, if and when they come to the US, by current Spyder ryders.
Not sure how true it is, but I think thier names are Doc, Forrest and Dave01....:shocked::shocked:

Good point on the sales. But if the Y does take off like it appears, I hope BRP is prepared to meet and beat the competition! I told you I plan on rYding my RT 50-60K at least before I am ready for anything else, BUT, I look forward to seeing what the next couple of years brings from BRP. One thing is pretty certain, the popularity of the Y factor among the folks and the way the RT has taken off among that demographic is going to bring BRP competitors to the party in North America soon!

Cool specs for sure-- but the thing is kinda fugly--- the riding position is like that of a rocket bike------

Wonder what the pricing will be?

Looking at the price of the GG Quadster, I'd say the Taurus will compete with the Spyder the way a Lambo competes with a Corvette.

BMW has been been toying with an idea about bringing that to North America for a few years now.
There was a 45 to 55 K price mentioned a while back on the 4 wheel model.:dontknow:

:yikes: Did I mention I LOVE my RT?

If it works as well as the new BMW sportbikes, which clobbered Japan in a recent comparison, it's the performance successor. Even with a $4K turbo, the Spyder is still far behind the 175hp the BMW has. It will sell, the BMW's sell.

I think that it's nice to know that the Can Am has been noticed and somebody is putting them in their sights... competition breeds innovation and improvement!
