• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Can-Am in Household Goods Shipment?

Here's my 2 cents. I have had 6 bikes moved by professional moving companies, courtesy of the American taxpayers. I had one move where 1 bike got scratched and another had damage to the luggage rack (they botched the entire job on that move and I had a 12k damage settlement). My largest bike moved was a Kawasaki Vulcan Nomad, a big old bagger. If it's an option, do a partial Dity move (I assume you are DoD and are familiar with the term) and pocket the profit. If not, trust the moving company and demand that the bike be placed in a truck, not a crate, and is not transferred to another truck. You need to make the demand when you are setting the move up, not on moving day. As mentioned above, they will frame around it with bulkheads and other framing and it will be totally secure and totally separated from all your boxes.

+1, I have done 7 PCS moves and we are about to do our last one and this is how we plan on moving our 2 bikes. I am going to tow a trailer with both on their for a partial DITY move.

Thank you for the advice. I work for the VA, but it is a similar process.

I have some very recent experience with this as I just loaded my Spyder on a United moving truck yesterday (moving from Nashville TN. To York PA.). Moving a vehicle was part of my company paid move so I am having them do it. Hard part was loading it. Driver called out a tilt bed tow truck. I pulled it up on the tilt bed then he brought up the tilt bed backed up to the moving trailer and I backed it on. He strapped it down and covered with moving pads. Did not have to drain any fluids. I will let you know when it arrives in about 10 days how it went.
