• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

HITCH FIT

Bob may be wrong on this !!!!!! :lecturef_smilie:......Recently someone here tried to fit an older Hitch to a newer Spyder and discovered the SWING ARMS weren't " exactly " the same size.........So I would investigate this first......good luck.......Mike

Hitch didn't fit

OP here, I just installed the newer hitch, fits great, but the hitch kit 219-400-144 fits only 2010-2012 models.

I have used the same hitch on my 2012, 2013, 2014 & 2015 RT and it fits fine, big bike parts has a inexpensive wiring kit.

hitch

Thanks again from all of you for the advice. Cruzerjoe i will look at Bigbikeparts for the wiring harness. This is awesome. Soon i canridw with my rt622 to the keys or even way north like blue ridge or even canada. Future trip would to alaska.

2012 to a 2016 hitch

I recently removed my 2012 rt-s hitch and installed it one my 2016 and it fit exactly like it did on my 2012. The wire module is also the same but there is one thing that connects to the module is different but I can't remember what that was. The good news is the module is the most expensive part of the harness. Can Am will have different part numbers of earlier modules VS newer models but the actual numbers on the modules themselves are exactly the same.
