• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Can-Am Cell Phone Interface Kit

RT-S PE#0803
The description states it is for 2011 and beyond. Anyone figure out what would be needed to utilize it with the early models. I have been away from the forum for a while and am still looking for a way to integrate my cell phone with my 2009 limited edition. It has all of the other comms hardnesses, CB, etc. installed already.

Thanks in advance. Lonnie

I currently have one connected to my 2010 RTS.
I've hd the 2011 LCD module installed as part of the PTT repair and the cell phone interface doesn't work

You have to install a 2011 or 2012 AM/FM radio is what I was told. So I am waiting for the new radio kit #219400393 to be released later this month.

Thank you - that helps. Now the question will be is will the newer radio work with the rest of the older system:shocked:?

You will need to install the GPS wiring harness because the bluetooth interface is within the GPS unit itself. You make/receive calls via the GPS unit connected to your phone via bluetooth. You may also need to have the CB/Comm installed, but I'm not 100% certain of that.

THIS IS WHAT THE BRP CATALOG STATES:

Electrical harness tucked underneath vehicle allows you to communicate with your Bluetooth† cellphone via your helmet headset
Requires AM/FM Integrated Audio System (219400393),
CB & Communication System (219400145),
Entertainment Harness (219400201),
Can-Am ST-1 Hybrid Helmet with built-in Communication System (447437),
GPS Navigation System with Support (219400404)
For 2011 models and up
