Even though I haven't had time to get the bags mounted I couldn't wait to take it camping. And I found out that with the bike loaded with my duffel and chair I didn't have to take it off or loosen it to get gas. I found that I can still lift and prop up the seat enough to get at the gas. So maybe I don't have to cut a hole or hinge the seat. If I would have had another camera I could have taken a picture. I used my cell phone to prop the seat. Not something I want to do all the time but it worked.
Now the red cover is a old cover my Husband use to use on his Gold Wing. He no longer rides so going through some stuff I ran across it. It works perfect. I think even after the bags are on it will cover them also. I did slip something in the front peak and the rear peak. In case of wind and flapping I didn't want to wear a hole through it.
