• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Campagna (T-Rex) declares bankruptcy

I am sorry to hear this. But the T-Rex, a great vehicle, just never developed the volume sales needed to make the venture profitable. Service locations and dealerships are few and far between. This same issue has hindered (somewhat) the Spyder. Especially in the early days. Though never to the extent that the T-Rex encountered.

I hope they can pull it out.

IMHO the Polaris Slingshot doomed the T-rex …….. and if Honda or Yamaha decides to build a Trike that is similar to our Spyders I think Can-Am will go the same way as T-rex...…. Mike

Sad news....

Never nice to see a manufacturer go under. Regardless they did make some rather nice looking autocycles. :sour: But they hung on for 2 decades and we have only managed one so far....:spyder:

Here is an update from the original article

UPDATE: We got in touch with Campagna president André Morissette over email, and he clarified that the company will not be liquidating throughout this process, merely discharging debt and re-structuring its finances with its creditors, which we understand is a process similar to Chapter 11 in the United States. Morrissette went on to say that the company is continuing to operate, fulfill orders, and deliver vehicles as normal.

It's always bad news for a company to be in trouble.
Still, they're 4 times the price of a Slingshot, two and a half the price of a Vanderhall Venice.
As pointed out, if Yamaha or Honda comes out with a vehicle similar to the Spyder, BRP will have some difficulties also.

That's (sort of) good news! I hope that they can find a way out!

Bye the way: Did Elio ever go "toes up"?

Have not heard anything official since their last announcement that production was being moved up to late 2017. I'll search it and let you folks know.

RE: Elio

Today: Site up and running. Production is now sometime "next" year. They only need $376 million startup money. Stock is available for purchase, donations accepted, and investors welcome.

Not me. :roflblack:

They have more lives than an entire herd of cats... :roflblack:
Thanks for the update: I might just have my Nigerian Prince send them a check... :D
