• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hey any of you pros out there have any suggestions on motorcycle small tent trailers that you guys recommend just big enough for 1 person. That is very easy to set up. And something used would be great.

Hello Satchmo60,

For one person, checked out the Mini-Mate camper. Another great site is motocampers.com There you will find motorcyclists that ride and camp. Tons of great info on trailers and some for sale. Not for riders that trailer their bikes.....

I bought a 1992 Kwik Kamp mini popup camper back in August 2013, very handy and easy to set up. Takes about 2 minutes to set it up.View attachment 84953View attachment 84953
That's what I've done. I bought an older Kwik Kamp just before a long planned bike trip. I pulled it with a Goldwing from South Carolina to Pennsylvania, to Maine, to Massachusetts, to Illinois, to Kentucky, and back to South Carolina, a total of 5,100 miles, in 10 days. I haven't pulled it much with my Spyder, since my wife's cancer diagnosis, but I have taken it out with the Spyder, just to see how it pulls, GREAT!!!
just as an aside, when I pulled it around the country with my 'Wing, I actually got better fuel mileage than I did without the trailer. I attribute that to being gentler on the throttle and keeping my speed around 60 mph, it wasn't significant, only about 2.3 mpg, but it was just over 5%, over 5,100 miles it did make up for a few cups of java.
i could usually get it set up minimally, ie, no porch, no stabilizers, attached to the bike, in about a minute and a half. Another good thing about the Kwik Kamp is, you can get to the huge storage area with the tent up or down, and even in a pouring rain, your gear stays bone dry. There's very little less comfortable than riding for hours in a pouring rain, then climbing into a soggy sleeping bag for the night. If you can find one, they've been out of production for a long time, but you won't regret it if you can find one. I got mine for $1,000, but I don't think I'd take 4 times that for mine.

Just found a used Bunkhouse trailer and will be making our first week trip next week. Loaded the trailer and pulled for 100 mile just for a text run and it pulls great. Bunkhouse Motocycle Trailers has a good web site, check it out.

Haven't camp in a popup in over 40 years. If things go well next week we plan on making a 8 week trip to the Northwest. It has to be cooler than Texas in the summer time.
