• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Calling California Spyder Ryders

My friend and I are having a debate.
He thinks the Spyder is a trike, and in California the DMV states that trike riders do NOT need to wear a helmet.
I think it is a motorcycle and Cali law states you must wear a helmet.
Can someone in California set the record strate?:chat::ani29:

You have to wear a helmet but you don't need a motorcycle endorsement to drive a Spyder in CA.

Yup, what Lamont said. Helmet is required no matter if it's two, three, or four wheels if it doesn't have a roll cage. Or something like that. I know there are some "cars" that you can rent in SF that require helmets.

If your vehicle has three or more wheels, no motorcycle endorsement is required... this includes traditional trikes and motorcycles with sidecars.

I think your friend may have a no-brainer here. I believe our friends in AZ don't have to wear a helmet however. I'm a former EMT and Search & Rescue deputy. Not wearing a helmet is always a no-brainer. Literally.
