• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just got off the phone with Industries 7. The C.H.A.D. windshields in the clear color will be shipping out this week.

The other 2 colors of half smoke and smoke will be shipping out in the next 2 weeks.

When we receive the first units that we have on order we will report back as to fit finish and function. That is if we don't have snow here by then LOL!

There is no way with time and continual wind pressure that the mounts will crack the Lexan? When looking at the windshield and how it moves, I wonder how easy it will be to inadvertantly move the windshield too forcibly, by mistake, and crack it somehow??

Their utube video looks good but still I'm curious as to what I wrote above....there isn't too much pressure on the windshield from the nuts/bolts?

If all is good and this thing is solid, it's a nice mod. and is functional to keep too much wind off your body/head!

The shape now flairs out to give more hand protection- see
I quite like the look of their chrome wheel as well.

I would doubt that the shield will crack if adequately thick, and the fit to the bracket is good. That alone beats the stock shield, since I have had two crack already. My BMW has an adjustable shield, just mounted to the adjusting bracket, and it has never shown a problem after nearly 80,000 miles with either the stock shield or my Cee Bailey's. I think you can believe their video. Keep in mind that manual adjusting shields are never intended to be adjusted while riding.

Would love to try this. The F1 Evo is horrendous. Paid got jack around and when it arrived few months later was useless for my height.

Hello, I am presently out of the office until Monday, to attend a trade show up in Quebec, but I wanted to put the latest test we made with the CHAD for all you guys out there wondering if our windshield will survive time and stress…I think that with this video, you will be more than sure that it will….

The CHAD is made of LEXAN, Lexan is a brand of highly durable polycarbonate resin thermoplastic intended to replace traditional glass and Plexiglas where the need for strength and impact resistance justifies its higher cost. It is a polycarbonate polymer. Applications are mainly in three domains — building (glazing and domes), industry (machine protection and fabricated parts) and communication and signage. Lexan is commonly described as acrylic in appearance, but is far more durable, often to the point of being described as "bulletproof", depending on the thickness of the sheet.

By the way Stress tests in special machinery where made on the windshield, computers calculating stress charges and all, and by over tightening the bolts on the windshield (I mean really over tightening them, witch by the way you don’t want to do, but for the test sake we did), and putting the shield in a wind tunnel with maximum wind pressure, it took over 320 000miles before any sign of ware was visible on the windshield.

So here is a little montage I drew up to show you that this windshield will last your Spyder’s life.

Oh and here is the picture of the 3 models that will be available, shipping out as soon as i'm back for the clear and 1 week or so for the Half Smoke and Smoke!!!! ;)
Prices Clear = 299.99$ Half Smoke = 339.99$ Smoke = 349.99$

I just ordered my 4" risers from NMN. I am way excited and looking forward to get my goodies. I have been waiting for the CHAD like the length of time that I waited for my Spyder. I wonder if the 4" risers would get in the way of the windshield when making turns. Does anyone have an idea if it would impede with the turns like some reviews of the Corbin fairing? Magic Man do you have a clue? Anyone? Thanks.

I'm very curious to hear about the CHAD..adjustable windshield sounds great...can lower when hot, raise when cool...if it protects the hands a little, all the better...

There's so much talk here about cutting windshields, some not being good, turbulence, etc...makes it tough...I have the BRP touring but I know there's better out there...

The CHAD looks like a great product...eagerly awaiting some feedback...
