• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Buying a new Spyder

I'm going to buy a Spyder this spring once the weather gets better and I was wondering what's the lowest you could bargain these things down if any. My local dealer still has some SE5's in stock from 08 and we all know base MSRP is $16,999. Let me know what you guys were able to get yours at.

Thanks!

I know there is dealers in CT. with some 08 SE5 were you can deal on the price plus a fully loaded demo were are you located welcome

Dealer at the Cycle World show in Detroit (Novi) yesterday had a red one marked a bit less than $14,900. He also has two used units.

Scotty, I was just watching Fox 2 News Detroit and they were doing a segment on the Novi show. They were showing off the red Spyder and discussing it. Good stuff!

Red SM5 for $15,000

There's a dealer in Cleveland OH with a red 2008 SM5 for $15 grand. I think I can handle a clutch having owned 15 motorcycles in my lifetime.

I've been checking prices and the best place so far is at a place in N.C. A 2009 SE5 for $16,399.

I'm interested in the new 2008 SM5 they have for just less than $14,000. Right now I'm trying to determine what a mutual fund I have is worth. I want to at least come up with 1/2 the price and finance the rest. I live in NY and will try to u-haul it back.

Get the SM5...IMHO, is more fun hittin' the clutch and changing gears...plus, there seems to be less issues with them...

Either way you go, you'll love the ride...the Spyder is a lot of fun!

Oh...I have a millenium yellow...everyone here says that the yellow are the fastest (hehe!)...

There were two red ones and a silver one there yesterday. No yellow ones, everyone knows they are too fast to capture. :D Lots of interest in the Spyders at the show, as far as I could see. Sort of like a candy store, though, you don't know what to look at or ask about first. You would have been proud of me, I didn't sit on a single motorcycle, not even the custom chopper that the cute little model asked me to sit on while she took my picture. :)

OH SCOTTY
Did the Lone Ranger holler Hi Ho Yellow.
nope------Silver is fastest---- as for catching a yellow ----just wait a bit and they will be along shortly.

I might point out that the Lone Ranger was dealing with only one horsepower, and that Silver was actually white. LOL

Thanks for all the info. It does have to be an SE5, it's for my wife and I'm done trying to teach her manual.
Good Luck i Paid just under 21k for my Red SE5 i got the 6spoke rims and 1inch riser included in price but they only added an additional 650bucks to price with no addons the out the door price was $20,220.00 the SE5's arnt cheap and brp set it up so dealers cant really haggle on the price too much they dont let em make alot of profit on em is why is what i was told :) hope this helps u out a bit .................Michael
