• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Buying a new 2013 ST-S

Fat Crip

So I've just ordered a brand new, still in the crate, 2013 ST-S; what should I be asking the dealer to attend to? Is there somewhere here that lists the recalls and common faults?

Here's the thing..!!

all recalls and updates will or should be done before delivery. They should be logged to the vin#. And you can have that checked. Other than that read the manual cover to cover watch the video practice and enjoy..congratulations..!!

I have a 2013 STS also, you're gonna love it!

As said, your dealer "should" have all the latest little items done before you pick it up.

It's the 'should have' thing that gets me. My dealer is 400 miles away and popping back in for a quick check isn't on, so I want to be able to say 'have you done x, y & z?' Before he sends it up here.

As it'll not be long now, I'll be reading that lot a few times! Thanks for that. It is a bit of an issue for that, given my disability, I was unable to take a test ryde! I did toy with the idea of getting a run as a pillion, but the nearest dealer is 250 miles away and the only one that would do the adaptations is over 400! So, in effect, I'm ordering on line!

I've contacted NABD about the adaptations, but, to be honest, they seem more interested in adapting bikes or building horrendous car based trikes! I'm a member, so I've asked for a grant application pack, but I'm not convinced that they will help me... we'll see!

I've also registered with the UK site, but it's not exactly as busy as here... and it doesn't appear to be on TapaTalk! Still, I'll stick with it :-)
