I am in process of buying my first 2014 rts does anyone know of a good dealer in about 100 mi i am in palmdale cal 65 mi north east of los angeles have been to a few some some seem honest others want to get u in with low price then jack up dealer fees and shipping to make up difference my wife is accountant not to much gets by her any help or feedback would help.

There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Whittier Fun Center> Great, straight Sales Department and Bryce Lindsley's Service Department is top notch. Tom Gobrecht _the owner-has been in business selling motorcycles since the early 70's and I've found no one runs a more honest operation. I bought my RT from them in June, 2011 and have have nothing but great service from them.

I have been talking to Kirk at Jetworld in Castaic Lake, for the past couple of days about a 2014 RT. They are a Platinum dealer (see my thread about that for more info) and I have not felt pressured or b.s.'d by them at all. I have received quotes over the phone and email for OTD (bike, licensing, taxes & fees) that have been under the MSRP price. Also gave me quotes for farkles that I want to install afterwards that were mostly under MSRP. They do respond to emails in a timely manner.

I called a few dealers in the Los Angeles area, and two were more interested in speaking to my husband rather than me - which pissed me off. I ride the Spyder, not him:gaah:
It's really important to find a dealership that will provide good service after the sales (that has been said many times on SL). So while OTD price of the Spyder is important, the service department is just as critical in your choice of dealerships, IMHO.

:welcome: I am also one who believes that dealer service is the most important part of the transaction. It seems to be a recurring issue that the dealer with the best price, is not necessarily the best dealer when it comes to servicing.
Sometimes, the phrase "you get what you pay for" rears its ugly head.
When you get a dealer that gives great price and service--that is an extra bonus. :thumbup:
