Hi Don,
I did have to remove the glass, didn't have to tear the mirror housing apart just slowly heated the glass up a gently pried the glass off.
Cleaned all the glue off the glass and back plate, then I scribed the outline of the arrow and used my dremel and cut a hole in the back plate so the turn signal would be flush.
Once that was done I used a little duct tape on the back of the turn signal to hold it in place and ran a bead of silicone around the turn signal and then more silicone to remount the mirror.
I drilled a small hole in the bottom left hand corner of the mirror housing and ran my wires through there and just tapped into the wires coming off the mirror flasher.

:yikes::yikes: Well I did not fair as well. I was able to remove the left mirror glass without breaking it, but must have used too much heat as I mis-shaped the plastic back plate. It took me awhile to reshape it back using heat and finger power.:banghead:
I did finnaly get it all back togeather and working :yes:

Started on the right mirror trying to use less heat so not to damage the back plate only to have the mirror break:cus:

Drove down to local dealer to see if they can get just the mirror glass from BRP. Was told that they have asked before and were told no. You have to purchase the complete mirror assembly for $200. So Monday starts my search for a company that can cut a mirror to fit.

In hind sight what I should have tried was after getting the mirror pried away from the bottom of the holder sprayed WD40 in the opening to soften the glue that they use. That would have helped remove it without all the heat issues. WD40 is what I used on the left mirror to remove the glue before remounting.

Hope this helps someone who attempts this, and my hat off to Purple Guy for his ability to do this without breaking anything:bowdown:

Sorry to hear that!
Any place that sells auto glass should be able to cut you a mirror.
Make sure they use a mirror that's transparent backed and not opaque.

According to my Wife if I want to do anymore mods I might as well include a bed for the garage! :yikes:
