• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

A group of us from "bamarides.com" went on what was billed as a "sporty street ride" I like riding the twisties so I asked if I could join them with my Spyder.... Sure.. "Bring it" I was told....So I did..... 282 Miles later with a grin that could not be wiped away I arrived back home. These guys are good, safe, and FAST.... My hair was on fire more than once but I hung in there with them.... Was proud of myself AND the Spyder (2012 RT A&C).... Proof attached!

Looks like you had a great day for it and I like the scenery:yes: Sure beats all the white stuff we have here.
Please enjoy the rides and post pictures of them so us snow bound riders can enjoy the thought of riding:thumbup:

Flaming..!!

that one shot does show a bit more forehead...!!:roflblack: but sounds and looks like you had an amazing time...congrats..!! :2thumbs:

When I ride with a group that isn't used to Spyders, there usually are a few changed minds by the time we make it to lunch. It wasn't so much a matter of them being potentially upset if they had to wait a few minutes for me to catch up, as much as surprise that they didn't have to (most of the time, anyway, but that has more to do with the rider than the ride).

I think most riders expect that, at best, I'll be at the pace of a traditional trike.

The real fun, of course, is passing the slower riders and having to wait for them.

All the guys were impressed with the :ani29:. Not necessarily the ryder.... although I did hang with the group most of the day..... Let's just say that Nanny got her exercise.:yikes: Powering out of the off camber 180° turns caused the rear to want to jump around. But I could actually get the power down BEFORE the bikes in some cases. Anyway it was fun.:yes:

I'm pretty damn sure that you would have left me on the dust on this ride - it sounds like a blast.

That sure looks like some Beautiful Countryside! :2thumbs:
Glad to hear that you held up your end of the bargain... :firstplace: :congrats:

I live not far from Leeds, over here in Hiram Ga.
I would like to Know what roads you were riding and try them sometime,
Maybe even meet up sometime.

We were up in North Alabama in Marshall and Jackson county.... Grant, Woodville, Paint rock, Scottsboro, New Hope.... Mostly just county roads, up and down the mountains. One of the cycle guys mapped out the route... then we ad-lib'd a few roads. Look at a map of Jackson county.... I remember cnty road #8 was one.... MANY curvy roads in the area..... Was a HOOT!

Would be great to meet up and ride sometime..... Our local chapter of Spyder Ryders of America, Tennessee Valley Chapter is having a group ryde to Lynchburg Tn this weekend. We have members in AL, Tn and Ga. Check it out here.... http://www.meetup.com/Spyder-Ryder-Of-America/ Maybe you'd like to join us. I'll pm you and we'll chat.:chat:
