• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Bump Skid

I have checked my outside air temp on the display alot before in stalling the bump skid. It was always higher then the outside temp.
After the skid if the temp change I have not noticed.

I have often wondered where the temp sensor is on my RSS. My temp is always higher than outside temp. Anyone know where the sensor is??

On my RS it was on the right side of the frunk under the tupperware, had to disconnect to remove frunk when in put in power outlet.

Any time I read "easy", "drill", and "remove" all in one description I get paranoid. Can I buy one at SpyderFest and pay someone to install it for me?!?! Please? :opps:

Actually I'm happy to pay for it at anytime but would really, really like someone to install it

I'm the same way you were, especially when the said "drill" but I did install it myself. It really was fairly easy, just took a couple of hours and looks great. My biggest obstacle was how to get the spyder lifted, finally borrowed a MC jack and it worked great.

Come on guys. Don't let it scare you! It is very straight forward after you get it off the ground. Remove the existing OEM part. Temporarily attach bumpskid to existing holes. Use bumpskid holes as pilots for new bumpskid bolts, remove bumpskid, slide on new clips and reattach bumpskid. Nothing bad about it at all.

It was a real pain in the butt for me when I installed mine, but then I put down some padding to lay on and it was fine. I agree, it is a real easy instal.

What I found to work best was to instal one of the rear bolts on each side first, then one front bolt in the middle to hold it in place. Then instal the other two rear bolts, and follow with the font half from rear to front. Once you have all the bolts in and started. Tighten them up from rear to front, and switch from side to side to keep pressure even.

Of course this was after doing as bmwlarry instructed on how to drill the pilot holes.

I just ordered this. Would I be able to install this myself or would it be better if I had someone install it for me? I like to attempt things but I sure don't want to screw anything up on my RT.

If you have a good (safe) way to lift the Spyder high enough to get under it for the install I would say go for it!

I've had mine on for 6 mos. Last week I pulled it off to install Baja Rons sway bar. Noticed that the 12 screws provided were rusting so I ordered and installed stainless ones from Fastenal.

So $159 and 12 screws that rust after 6 months?:dontknow: Maybe stainless or better coated screws should be provided.

Do you have any that fits a 2015 RSS?

I ordered mine with the lights and it came in two days. Got to wait until next week to get it over to the dealer to get it installed. I do not have any way of lifting my Spyder to install it.

bumpskid led plug and play

I have no installation instructions, so here do you plug in the bumpskid led light string?
