• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

bump skid use

I tried to see if there were any posts asking if you can use Spyderpops bumpskid for jacking up the front of a RTS Spyder using a car floor jack? Thanks

there are no posts asking that question because it is really silly. The bumpskid is not structural

If you have a car jack that can reach the back center where the bump slid overlaps the frame. What gives the skid strength is where it is screwed to the back into the steel. When I had Elka do my shocks that is where they jacked it up.

There you have it....

Though it is a pretty solid piece where it is attached to is not strong enough to support the wieght of the spyder. As you can see there is a weight limitation to what you can carry in the frunk and you can imagine WAY less that the weight of the front end of the spyder....

Based on what I am seeing above...I would not do that with mine. The bumpskid serves a good purpose...but does not seem strong enough to support the weight of the Spyder.
