• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Bum Dealer?

I already know the answer yet i'm looking for someone to make me feel better anyway:banghead: I am in North Jersey, 10 miles out of N.Y.C. My closest dealer tells me that since BRP has no incentives for the moment on their new F3's (Limited / F3-T), he has no choice but to sell at MSRP ONLY! Now, i'm not stupid but who the h*** buys anything at MSRP? Is this worth arguing about w/ the dealer or should I just resin myself to the fact that i'll have to travel much further to find a 'fair dealer'? My salesperson has been absolutely great with me and taken all the time i've ever needed to get my questions answered. But he has no say to final pricing. HELP! :(

Just because a particular dealer doesn't offer incentives on new models, that doesn't make them "unfair". If you don't like an offered price, look elsewhere.

You said it well when you said you already knew the answer.

Almost every dealer will give some kind of a discount. Your current dealer does not appear to want to sell you a :spyder2:.

Recommend looking down the road a bit. Hoping you find the magic deal soon.

I have a dealer 10 miles from my house went there and tried to get a deal on a 15 f3-s he gave me a price MSRP minus promo, told him there were better deals on ebay & craigslist he wouldn't come down, that dealer now sits on a 15 F3-s and so do I it's in my garage, ended up driving 100 miles got the deal I wanted worth every mile I drove.

Not Bum dealer

Your dealer is not a "bum dealer". His job is not to give you a discounted price. His job is to make a profit and cover all the unseen expenses that come with owning a business. If you will have to deal with him on a regular basis, consider paying the difference. My local dealer historically handles people who buy elsewhere very poorly and actually admits to it. What price is piece of mind? It's a dog eat dog world. Do you really want to put on "Milk Bone" underware?

See if the original dealer will throw in a 3 yr. BEST warranty, plus some discount on accessories (not necessarily BRP's) to sweeten the pot. If you still don't like the deal, you can still go elsewhere.

I'm sorry, but any dealer that adopts that practice is pond scum in my opinion. I traveled 140 miles outside of Phoenix to buy my Spyder after the local dealer tried to give me the shaft. Now I take my Spyder to that same dealer for service, and they are happy to have my business. The Service Manager is well aware that I bought elsewhere, and as far as he is concerned, he would have done the same thing if he were in my shoes.

There's money to be made in parts and service. It's a major profit center at most dealerships. Turning someone away or treating them poorly because they bought their product elsewhere is just bad business. I still say shop around for the best deal you can get. Yes, if it's only a modicum of savings, give your business to the local dealer. But like wyliec said, see if you can get some value added in lieu of a discount.

On my iPod and listen as I drive to NYC THX:roflblack:

You'd be better off finding your deal on the phone.

Call Roberts Sports Center of Malone (NY) at 518-483-5400. Wayne Roberts is the owner. I met him during SpyderQuest a couple of weeks ago while up there. He said he sells 130 Spyders a year and sells more than most. According to him, he discounts quite a bit. If you're willing to drive a little, you can save thousands. But do your homework on the phone.

Let us know what you find out.

Same here, traveled 120 miles to the next dealer. 3500.00 difference on price of F3 and 1500.00 more for my 2012 RS SE5 trade. Thats even more savings on Taxes. Plus his services fees are about 1/2 of what the Denver dealer charges. Worth it to shop around.

Here's what you do..!!

shop around, try pit bull get some prices and confront your dealer with the info. He can check it out but if he is as good as you say you might get something out of them. If not move on. Nothing like a weekend trip :ohyea::ohyea:

New as in 2016's which I assume since your saying F3-T? He's probably being honest. However, there is freight & prep which is around $900. You could negotiate that off and then an agreed upon discount on the accessories which most would do. I'm sure if you were talking about one of the 15 model years you could get a much better deal.

I don't see a price incentive on preordering right now, but don't they say something about a 3 year extended coverage for the preseason sale?
