• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Bulloch County Law Enforcement Get Sporty New Vehicle | WSAV TV

I can't seem to find the Sporty New Vehicle the article is implying . :roflblack:

I think that for what they plan on using it for it might just work out nicely for them. Just don't get into a pursuit! :roflblack: As I recall there were at least two different juristictions that had added Spyders to their fleets. anyone remember who they were and how things are working out?

They'll probably end up wrecking it, A few years ago [ten??] the state police deiced that the bad guys cars where too fast for the standard patrol car, So they went out and bought a few Mustang GT's, They wrecked them all in a few months. :yikes:

SPORTY NEW VEHICLE

RANDY, THE SPRTY ONE WAS THE YELLOW/BLACK ONE IN THE BACKROUND.....:roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:....MIKE.....

The price was sure right. The dealer will get a tax write off, the Sherrif's Dept. might like them and make them a regular vehicle for their use. They will definately get attention from the public.

Looks like win-win here.

As far as price, in the article it says the dealer donated it to the sheriff dept. for one year. So that would be Zero. I wnat one for that price. :doorag:

It's a start. Ten years ago who would have thought the California Highway Patrol (CHP) would be purchasing BMW motorcycles as there bike of choice.

Law Enforcement Spyder

My partner and I own a business that builds police vehicles. We do hundreds of vehicles a year. I have been thinking of making my Limited into a police demo bike. We do a fair amount of Road Kings, and a few Metric bikes but have yet to do a Spyder. The electrical system is the weakest link, when you consider all the modern equipment that goes on a bike: lights, siren, radio, laptop computer, radar. BRP would have to make the Spyder with a substantially more robust charging system before it would be practical to use. If I decide to do some "police" mods, I'll share the pics.
