• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Built a trailer... got a hitch....

I just picked up a used trailer with a pod on it for $200. It has 8 inch wheels and I was told it has been to Fl twice behind a car doing 70 so it sounded OK with me. I measured the 8" wheels and found them to be a little over 18" dia, compared to my 12" trailer wheels being 20". With that said I talked to a gentleman from NY that had a trailer for his Spyder with 8's and he had over 54,0000 on it, so I think 8's will be find.

I have 8" wheels on Tag-a-long and have over 5,000 trouble free miles so far. I did put RideOn in them just in case.

The problem with small wheels is more often with the wheel bearings than the tires. The smaller wheels rotate faster, creating more heat. properly greased bearings and frequent maintenance can help minimize problems caused by the smaller wheels...as can lowering your speed. Keeping the tire pressures up will help prevent excess heat from ruining the tires themselves. That goes for any trailer tire.
