mmmmm, OK? I'm not seeing a picture or you used disappearing ink to type the rest of this.

In the event you are looking for suggestions; I learned this from some Harley guys over on NABR Family Friendly Lounge Facebook page. (Harley guys are really good at cleaning) Hydrogen peroxide is one of the best bug cleaners around. It does need to be cleaned off after the bugs are gone as it leaves a bit of a film, but it will not harm your paint and pretty much melts bugs guts; just not quickly.

From the land of love bugs...... lay a wet hand towel on the dried bug guts for about 15 minutes and they will come right off. The dried ones are the only ones that are a problem. If you keep them wet for 10 or 15 minutes they wipe right off.

just plain hot water, the emphasis is on HOT. Melt your troubles away.

As mentioned, hydrogen peroxide is very good, quick, and efficient.

Another trick, a dryer sheet in a spray bottle of water. Don't know why, but it also works well. I have given the spyders a "quick clean" with this method.

It’s a pain but if you clean every time you ride it’s so much easier

Dryer sheet and water, then rinse. Works easier if dryer sheet has soaked in water over night.

All great suggestions, but the most important part of the process is to use a clean cloth. Can't emphasize that enough. Even a slightly used cloth/rag can have a grain of dirt in it:lecturef_smilie: .....which will cause your first scratch with any amount of pressure. The other enemy is ammonia, unless you like rainbows
