• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

BRP's Top Trunk Mirror

Question for anybody who has added one of these:
Does the kit come with longer screws and washers, or do you just slip this in place under the original screws.
I got one off of EBay, and I'm just trying to make sure that I get it right...
Thanks!

Sorry, I can't find any info about a top trunk mirror. Could someone post a link?

I learned something new. Did not know they had a mirror for that. I could not get the link to open--it locked up my computer and I had to reboot.

Went to my trusty BRP catalog and there it was on page 52. The $62.99 seems like a little pricey for a mirror--but that is the way all accessories go. :roflblack:02

If you want just a mirror, Inspector gadget has one for $25. Personally, I don't have it but saw it on his website.

Original screws I installed mine last night...

You already got the answer about screws, but just a warning, be careful when wiping off mirror. Scratched mine bad using windex and paper towel. Luckily dealership replaced it without too much hassle.

The link doesn't work for me either. Just a blank BRP frame.

But if this is the unit the goes inside the trunk lid, personally I think it is a POS unless BRP improved it since I bought mine.

1) The mirror flexes EASILY and any woman looking into it wont like it because it reminds you of a "fun house" make you fatter mirror!
My wife hated it! I got a real glass mirror and glued it over the stock mirror.
2) The mirror being PLASTIC gets all scratched up after a while when you put stuff in the netting. It slides around on the mirror and soon it becomes totally unusable! Again I replaced the stock mirror with a real one.
3) The netting does not close well enough. I put a phone, cord, some other small goodies and every time I would unzip the thing, all that loose stuff would fall out into the trunk! I made a couple of clasps to hold the netting closed.
4) Over time the back of this thing gets saggy due to having stuff in it. This opens a "gap" between the back of the thing and the top trunk lid. Now small stuff you have in the netting falls out of there into the trunk while your riding! I fixed that by using double sided tape between the bottom of the trunk lid and the edges of the add on mirror back.

Needless to say, in my opinion $20 is not worth it for this thing. Could have been designed MUCH better!
