There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. BRP Ultra Touring shield with Robobrackets??

So I am still waiting for Industries 7 to send me a replacement for my defective CHAD windshields... I have been waiting since the end of September and they have been unable to correct whatever manufacturing issues have plagued their production and am I starting to get tired enough to ponder alternatives... :gaah:

I think the Robobrackets system sounds good, but I really want a wider shield to offer hand protection for the winter. Has anyone used the BRP Ultra Touring shield with the Robobrackets sytem? Would that work?

Let me know your thoughts... :chat:

Thanks

Did not try the BRP touring but I did use the bottom of an F1 slider with the brackets with no real problems. I actually get better overall protection and a better look from Madstads 22" shield though. Here are a few photos with the F1 and the RoboBrackets for you. Not the best photos in the world, there is a lot o glare but hope you get the idea.

So what happened to your CHAD? Something off with the brackets or the shield itself?

:2thumbs: Got to love that tat on your windshield that Tatt2r did.

I do love that Tat. I think I may use that windshield in the winter for the extra hand protection. We will see. I love it but the look on the spyder with my Robobrackets is better with the MadStad shield.

I have two defective shields in my garage right now, it's the shields themselves. The bracket needed the minor tweaks to get it to fit right but nothing big. The shields however are just not molded right. The first one was a half inch taller on one side and not symetrically molded from left to right. It caused the shield to look crooked and shake when at speed. The second was seriously malformed, literally looked like someone had molded the shield by hand, nothing was symetrical and the logo was all crooked.

Industries 7 identified a problem with the manufacturing process and said they would give me a refund or I could wait for them to correct the problem and they would send me a new one. I have opted to wait but am starting to get tired. So I figured I would investigate alternatives.

It's been a bummer, with all the positive CHAD reviews I had been really looking forward to having it on my spyder. :(
