• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

brp site is up w/ new models

I would love to have the audio system and the trailer hitch. The accessory site is still under construction.:doorag:

OK, now what about a passenger? Doesn't look like much room -a passenger can't be a big person from what I see when I do the 360 view of it.

neither can a driver ,,,, i know evan had to customize his seat to sit back more .....i would say it's on same frame as original ....but i can say one thing ....BRP has been paying close attention to us and has designed the RT after what a lot of people have done to there spyders ...so i think they lurk .... and listen .... and if they thought for a minute we would do the milage that we do that version would have come out sooner ...
again ...just my opinion:coffee:

Yep probably would have

It IS a bigger engine; it's a 991. It says designed for cruising w/ electronic throttle control. The trailer option is 5 grand. It looks pretty deluxe with electonic adj. suspension, windshield and all. I think it's a little more than what I want, but I can see it cutting into the goldwing market pretty hard.
Anybody notice the whole premier edition thing:roflblack:

OK, don't bash me here but if I wanted all that for that kind of money, I'd buy a car. There's no "bikeness" left to it.

Looking at the specifications, it doesn't seem like the load capacity is increased by much either. I'm guessing that overweight couples may still have the same problem they had with the original spyder. I remember seeing more than one post with questions on how to increase the load bearing capacity because the rider and pillion's combined weight was too great. I guess that's as good a reason as any to have matching spyders in the garage.

Yup - they want you to buy 2 instead of 1 if you're not thin

As I said in the other thread: No additional power with the extra weight will be a bit of a slug compared to motorcycle touring models. Shouda put a bigger engine in the RT.

Engines not any larger, but it looks like they bumped the compression up to 12:1, maybe a little boost to low end torque.........BTW, forget about the 87 octane now.......:roflblack:

I noticed that too... I was wondering who was going to bring out that well beaten horse.... So that's why your posts say you're the site troublemaker.:2thumbs:

Did you notice the FACTORY TRAILER package? :2thumbs:

I've been want to tell you about that for months.
That sounds like another MMG ad for "the first and only!"...

Let BRP do their tired marketing scheme (late and over-priced as always), I'm holding out for the Lamonster Seadoo-trailer option! :ohyea:

Not to mention the extra weight with all the new up-grade, I did not see the dry weght?

Jennifer and I are not too much on accessories that we don't need. I find the design lacking to my taste. Something just looks like "blah". The floor boards for the passenger are a plus. First impression...I'll give it a 4 out of 10. This may change after I see one in person. What I have seen so far will not get me to stand in line to see one.
