• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. BRP Service/Parts Certainly Not All Bad

I hear a lot of complaints about BRP, some probably justified, some probably not, but I feel compelled to share my experience. I have ordered parts at three different dealers on four different occasions (one optional, one warranty, one dealer ordered wrong parts, and reorder). ALL FOUR Orders arrived within Five days (and florida is a pretty far piece from Canada)

My 2010 RT recently (actually not too recently) broke down (bad clutch plate) just over 200 miles from home and I turned the bike into the Daaler from Hell in Fort Myers Fl. The dealer took 22 days to finish a repair that had only two hours of labor. First the dealer said no chance for warranty coverage , won't even ask... even though the bike had only 8500 miles on it. My requests to BRP with help from our friend Lamontster, produced a review and constant follow up from John in warranty with directions to repair and then run certain tests to see if defect present. The dealer was very busy and not paying any attention to my bike, John from BRP called them everyday for over a week as best I can tell, to prod them to action. He also authorized parts under warranty , even though there was no clear cut defect, just basing his decision on common sense.. Carlo from the Spyder hotline also called me for status updates and called the dealer to prod them when it was clear they were neglecting the repair..

Overall even though I would like to burn the dealer to the ground, I am thankful for BRP's help and assistance and impressed that they do as well as they do for what many of us recognize as a truly wonderful but VERY LIMITED PRODUCTION BIKE..... I am not a patient guy and I certainly have been known to complain, but it was pointed out to me not too long ago to give these folks at BRP the benefit of the doubt. So far that has worked pretty good for me.. RIDE SAFE

It can never be proved, but I have stated so many times that BRP gets the blame from dealers because of the dealers' incompetence. My dealer has had to order warranty parts on our 2008 SE5 (while we still had it) more than once. Each time the part was in within 7 days. Never did they keep the Spyder while the parts were ordered. Two of the parts was a coolant bottle and a rear brake caliper. So if a dealer says he can't get a part, I will always question it. Also, it is within our rights to request a copy of the Back Order to be sure the dealer has done his job. I believe that too many dealers just sit on ordering something because they are just to lazy to do it, or wait until they have more items to order. Just my thoughts.

Placing the blame where it belongs is always the 1st step to a solution. Not that BRP is never to blame, but then BRP isn't always the problem either.

I don't know what it is about Florida. But the dealership where Lamont and I got our Spyders was not good to us either.

Luckily, here in podunk Tennessee we have 2 great dealerships. They aren't right around the corner but just having good ones within reasonable range is a blessing for sure.

Thanks for sharing your experience with us on this entire situation. Once again it seems that the good dealers are very hard to find.
