• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

BRP rigid bad lights

BLACK WIDOW

Has anyone installed the NMN bag lights on the BRP rigid bag setup? I am very interested in the light kit but don't want to compromise the appearance or usability of the removable bags. How is the wiring hidden between the bike and the bag ? Where is the quick disconnect located and does it detract from the appearance?:dontknow: These are some of my questions and would appreciate hearing from those who have them or know about them.

I have the NMN lights on my Givi Bags from BRP. I also have the triple play from NMN. I love them. Originally I was going to use the bags just on overnight trips, but loved the way they looked on the :spyder2:. I have never removed them other than to show people how quick you can take them off.

When I installed the NMN bag light kit. I ran the quick connect under the turn signals from the outside of the side to the triple play unit that is under the splash pan. There is not enough room for the connection to fit through the hole, but plenty of room for the wire. The wires really don't show up against the black background and are kind of hid by the turn signal brackets and the rack.

I did this install last week and they are REALLY BRIGHT--- very nice factory look. The install will take you some time - and the instructions are 'okay'. I'll try and take some pics and post some pointers.

One problem I ran into was the silicon goop sealant that they sent with the kit was pretty useless--- wouldn't flow well - like it was drying out or old - so I used some black silicone sealant I already had here - I think the black looks better than the clear anyway.

Plan on about 2 hours for install. The cables are hidden inside the bags where they do not get in the way. The scary part is drilling holes in your nice new bags!

As John stated - the plugs won't quite tuck up into the rear panel - but you really can't see them. I'm going to round out those panel holes just a bit more so I can stuff them in when I want to.

Overall I think they are a GREAT addition to the bags. I didn't wire them in exactly as they recommend - but may be changing over to a triple-play sometime soon and will then re-wire them.

I'm not sure with the triple play if they stay on full-bright all the time- or if the triple play 'dims' them a bit for running lights???

I had the triple play before the install. The lights are as bright as the LED pucks in the turn signals when in use as running lights and turn signal lights, but get super bright when the brake is applied.

When used in conjunction with the Street Magic Triple Play Unit they will be a dimmer running light, and a full brightness brake light and turn signal.

Awesome! Just what I wanted to hear. I mean--- I like em bright--- but wanted a difference when actually applying the brakes.

Since these LED's are on a flat board they seem to emit in all directions---- even from the sides they are really bright!
