• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. BRP Phone Call

Well, I got a call from BRP today. We had a good 25 minute conversation. I've got to tell you I've never gotten a call from Ford in the 30+ years I've been driving their brand and I've filled out 20 surveys from them. It's calls like today that tell me try are concerned and care. He asked me were I received most of my information about the Spyder brand....Dealer, Printed Material or the Internet. I told him there was only one source for the truth and that was SPYDERLOVERS.com I asked him if he knew about this website and in the cutest Canadian giggle he said "oh, yes, we are very aware of the Spyderlovers website" haha. I chuckled with him and we went to the next question he had.

It appears they are on another round of calls to customers. Hoping the information they gather will be helpful to both BRP and the customers.

Great to hear..!!

sounds like a good conversation and hope they pick up the valuable information we can give them. Really nice to see the personal touch rather that a cold survey... Good to hear..!!

SpyderLovers dot com

I would believe that they are very aware of the power of the forum. If they, BRP! Are not they are missing the best free R and D department in this hemisphere.

You can say all you want about American ideals. But you can NOT say that if we have something to say we will NOT hold back most of the time.

I have always been one to speak up. They used to say in my Army unit "if you don't want to hear the answer don't ask Bob!"

I hope they call me . . . I can tell them about the dealer that left parts off my rear brake . . . still don't have it fixed . . . I use a chock . . . I'm waiting for a day without bad weather between me and a dealer a couple hours north to get it fixed . . . keeps snowing up there!

BRP call

I also got a call from BRP today. By the accent, he was definitely French Canadian but spoke good English. We had a 19 minute conversation. He asked me my likes and dislikes about my ST-S and how I liked my dealer. I was also asked where I got most of my Spyder info and I said Spyderlovers of course. We also talked about the heat issues on some of the '13 ST's and RT's. I got the impression that they really care about what their customers think and are working hard to get to the bottom of the heat issues. I also told him that many dealers need to get better at diagnosing problems and hire certified techs. I was very polite but told him some brutal truths. We will see what comes out of it.

they...BRP needs to call me.....Charlyne Baker...281-684-9216....

When he asked me what concerns I had with BRP/Spyder. I told him in a language even he could understand....

He said I couldn't said it any clearer and he would pass it on. My high school french teacher would've been so proud of me, and sleeping at a Holiday Inn Express last night helped too.

I agree 100 % , well said !!!

Translated "BRP must do more to help Spyder 2013 that have heat problems. They need a permanent solution, not just a temporary solution. The perception of BRP is struggling with this problem does not grow brand loyalty"

I know that they listen. get They may not get things right the first time around but they do listen. Many of the changes on the 2014 were the result of customer feedback that they obtained from phone calls like they are making now.

I hope they call me as well since my 2013 ST Limited is in the shop for the 5th time in less than nine months for mechanical issues. This time the water pump seal is bad which I am sure could be related to my heat issues degrading the integrity of the rubber parts. Am glad they are concerned about the new 2014's but what about us with the problem bikes. Am tired of paying for a bike that is not worth what I am paying for nor that I can ride for any extended trips due to mechanical failure. Just my two cents worth but wish they would call me also.

BRP called me as well a few weeks ago.I have a 2012 RT Ltd.As they knew what I rode the call was general and not about the 2013 issues.Asked many questions re dealer, satisfaction, types of trips I had done etc etc.
As I have had no issues with the bike apart from 2 small replacements done without any problem under warranty and have done 24500 miles in the past 18 months my input was good.I have personally found the dealers I have dealt with,BRP and all service I have received with this bike superior to anything I experienced with my Honda Goldwing.
I certainly never found any Honda dealer I dealt with as good as the 2 Can Am dealers I am dealing with and found BRP much easier to work with on Warranty stuff than I did with Honda.

Wow! I am proud of you guys!:clap:I speak French, as I live here and it is a necessity, but I love the language. That was very well said. Hopefully BRP will action these concerns with solid actions!Bonne Journee!

I hope that they do contact you. You are one of the serious owners of the product and have good information to share with them about the dealers and the product line.

The first go around, they did not call me either until I made a similar post. They were on the phone with me for over 45 minutes when they did call. I guess that's why they have not called me a second time. :roflblack::roflblack: It will be interesting if they contact me this go around. I also have a little experience with the brand.

Heck... I'd like to get a call just so's I could visit a bit with them...
No issues
No Problems
No gripes
No complaints
No bitching
No whining
No Pleading (Well...maybe a little! :D)

Just a few observations and suggestions; that's all!
