Just to be perfectly clear, the $78 rate is for Sun thru Wed. Thurs and Fri are $98 regardless of when you arrive.

Just called and got my rate changed to the group rate....The above info is verified and rooms at the Comfort are going very fast....

That is correct all are group rates and the rooms are going quickly.

Cindy & I should be there the 12th. We'll be leaving the Saturday before. I have a sister in Beufort, S.C., that I'm obligated to stop by and spend at least Saturday night.

Roger/Rattigan Roger whet my curiosity for a ride on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Actually Rudy/Cal777 got me thinking about this ride a couple of years back. Roger simply reminded me.

I think right now I'll just leave it up in the air, but we should be there, Maggie Valley, by the 12th.

The BRP is a marvelous ride! Not extremely challenging due to the low speed limits, but still fun. The scenery is marvelous, and the traffic during the week is light. There are lots and lots of places to turn off and take in the view (scenic overlooks), and plenty of wildlife. I highly recommend taking in at least a part of the BRP. If you have the time, the entire BRP and Skyline Drive is a wonder.

I must have gotten one of the last rooms! I'm thinking of doing the Dragon's Tail and Blue Ridge Parkway on the way up from Florida. Gotta do the Dragon at least once in this lifetime!
