• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I got to Durango yesterday afternoon and am at the Travelodge. I saw several Spyders in the parking lot and met some of the folks. (Sorry I don't remember names so good.) I saw MurphyBrown come in.

Today I'm off to Ouray, Co. I'm about 600 miles till I get my 3000 mile service and I hope to do that before I go home.

Gotta go ryde!!

Great news..!

You might want to call ahead of time to confirm that they have an oil filter in stock based on previous threads...

Thanks. I did call the dealer here and they have them in stock. He also said BRP will be doing service at the event itself. Tomorrow I'll probably stop by the dealer and pick one up, anyway. That way, if I don't get it done while I'm here, I'll have it for the dealer wherever I get it done later.

...And the bike is just purring along; smooth as silk?
How has your fuel mileage been on the trip?
(Or don't you check stuff like that?)

Yes it is purring along nicely!! My mileage has been 35-40 mpg. I haven't been getting such good mileage at home. I'm talking to Murphy Brown and others. I may not be shifting at the best times, so I'm using this trip to try to learn more.

I also think my mileage is good because for every mountain I go up, I go down using hardly any fuel at all!! ;)

Harvey (SpyderPops) is here and will probably be set up tomorrow afternoon. He's got Reggie's 3rd & 4th brakelight. I also want to look at BRP for a new mesh jacket. My TourMaster Flex is too big now. So I'll see if they have anything at a reasonable price.

BTW, I may decide not to do SpyderQuest, and instead go to Spyder Palooza so I can afford a trip and a farkle. I want some Baker Air Wings.

When you stop at the dealer for your oil filter would you ask if they have any rear tires other then what comes stock? I am at 5000 miles and 400 miles from arriving so I will be needing a new tire before I head home. I would call them but they maybe closed by the time we arrive.

I'll try to remember that. BTW their phone number is 970-259-1070.
