BRP hard side Bags VS. Corbin hard side bags

I love the look of the Corbin set up, bags, solo seat, turtle trunk. But the price is like buying stuff for a Harley... I like the looks of the BRP bags and the price..... Any help out there to compare. I've been a long time Harley rider and just got fed up with the cost of everything.

Love my Spyder so far.:ohyea:

Hope I posted this in the right section..

I agree with you. This is why I bought the BRP branded Givi cases. I'm taking them on a two week trip starting next week, so I'll get a chance to fully test them.

I went grocery shopping the other day and they came very handy!

For a little over half of what Corbin asks it is a good deal!

I've checked out the BRP bags on a couple Spyders (Firefly is one) and I'm going to go with BRP. Nice mounting set up and the frames come off easy to get back to a sportier look. Firefly also installed a top case that is pretty cool as well. I'm waiting for $$$ before I can do those things since I've done a bunch of stuff already this year.

Porboy i plan on getting the brp/givi bags because they are removeable so you can take them inside the hotel/motel although i do like the looks of the corbin, givi is more conveint [sp].

Also your avatar gives me the willy's.

:2thumbs: Corbin hard saddle bags so finish the look of the :spyder2:. I would not have bought the :spyder2: if i could not get the Corbin bags. I like the fact that you can take the Givi bags off and much cheaper as well. But to me they look like an ad-on. Just my opinion.

Beauty is in the eye (and wallet) of the beholder. I have the Givi case/Givi rack set up and at $750 it is a bargain compared to other alternatives, but you have to accept the rear fender turn signal location or go with the NMN Givi case lights. I think the Givi cases look fine on the Spyder. BRP removable racks are a great design and selling point, but my cases are never off the bike as they are simply too useful. $750, $1,000, $1,500, there are price, design and function features to satisfy all our preferences.

THEY ARE ADD-ONs BUT THEY ARE BRP ADD-ONEs. DESIGNED TO FIT THE SPYDER BY THE PEOPLE WHO DESIGNED THE SPYDER.

BTW; The Corbin bags are pretty cool I like them also, but they are truly after market add-on (non manufacturer) accessories.:doorag: IMHO!

Don't have bags myself but I have seen both sets. Yes the Corbin have a great look but they are (1) expensive and (2) non removeable.

I will be purchasing bags soon and I have decided to go with the BRP Givi set up. The addition of NMN lights for the bags is an added bonus.

I want to be able to add a top box to mine for travelling and I want to be able to put 2 modular helmets in the box. The corbin top box is $1000 Givi is a lot less and I van get the V52 which will meet my needs.

Like the fact that you can easily remove the BRP setup when you don't need the bags.

I have the BRP setup along with NMN/ESI bag light kit. I already had the triple play. I absolutely love it. I originally went with the BRP so I could remove them and only use them on overnight trips. But I like they way they look so much, that I leave them on all the time. Another bonus I've discovered is now when I'm backing up, the bags actually helps guide me when backing into a tight area.

It's also very convenient to be able to pack the BRP/Givi bags, then disconnect them and take them into a hotel room. We did just that on the Los Angeles trip and a 2,000 mile jaunt through Colorado.

I thought that the removable hangers were important, but I haven't removed the bags or hangers since I got them, except to take them into the room.

I would also say that the BRP rack system is a much better setup than the IND7 - in my opinion.

I leave the bags on 99% of the time-- but it's nice for packing to pop them off--- and for cleaning the Spyder too!

BRP Bag

Thanks guys and gals for all the feed back. BRP it is. The local Spyder doesn't carry much of a selection for add ons. Best place to buy?

As far as the avatar goes-----you should see my mother.:roflblack:

The BRP bags are nice but just a minor correction; these Givi Bags were not " DESIGNED TO FIT THE SPYDER BY THE PEOPLE WHO DESIGNED THE SPYDER." Industries 7 started out making a rack for the Spyder to use a Givi bag set up. This started out as an aftermarket product and just looks nice with the spyder. We got a set over a year ago in Valcourt at the Homecoming. One of the nice things that BRP has been doing, is listening to the needs and desires of spyder owners. They saw a need for an aftermarket bag and jumped on the bandwagon. They are using the Givi bag and rack set up with a few adjustments from the original I7 set up. Even the quick release rack is not their invention, that has already been designed as well. The fact that they have modified it for the spyder just shows they are willing to give us what we want.

sorry about being so technical, I learned it from the best (bjt :D)

I'm planning on the BRP bags this winter. Waiting on $$. If you are not happy with your local dealer, contact Jackie at Rob's Performance in Johnson Creek WI. They ship all over.
