BRP hard bags

Oh--- you didn't have the colored panels installed? That would explain the lens falling off. They should have explained that the colored panels are not 'optional' --- you have to have them to finish the bag off and hold the lens in place. I thought your colored panel came off.

Looking at the turn signal post, I think you could easily just cut a notch about 1.5" wide and all the way down to the bottom of the panel where it meets the undersplash... which is only about 1" - 2". That would probably make it so you could remove the panel---

My dealer did not know the color panels hold the lens on. They wanted $112.00 for the panels, so I said forget them.

Just got off the phone with the dealer & they are going to try to get me a new lens.

They called BRP about not being able to get the panel off when the hard bags are on. BRP said 'it would be a good idea to be able to get the panel off easily'. Can't believe they did not think of it.

Will look at cutting a notch, then go from there.

Competition Accessories has the color panels, at least black and silver, for $94. My dealer wanted list -- 129.99 for them so I said no thanks. Givi V35 is the same as our R35 bags. I don't know why BRP ships the red reflectors with the bags and not with the panels, since the reflectors are held onto the bags by locking into the bag and the panel.

After riding for some time without the panels and seeing where the dirt flies up from the front tires, I'd also suggest putting some 3M paint protector film on the front of the colored panels.

Thanks for the info, I'm deciding whether to get the panels or not. Will get the paint protector film as you suggest.

I thought the same about the reflectors being shipped with the panels. Probably should have the bags, panels, and reflectors as a complete package.
