• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

BRP going to help me out

Not sure which pipe is rear...but the one that the O2 sensor plugs into...the threads inside the hole are gone on one side...same as sensor...is that the rear pipe...just got the call...dealer is picking up spyder in a few...woohoo.....need it fixed and on the road

From the photos you posted, it appears the O2 sensor that came out and the stripped threads are the forward cylinder head pipe. Since the threads on both the pipe and sensor are destroyed, both will need to be replaced. There is an identical O2 sensor on the head pipe for the rear cylinder and I would want it checked thoroughly if not replaced as well. It has seen the same torture as the front one, even if it has not failed yet. If the threads were defective from the factory, it would have failed in the first few weeks.

pipe

if they are going to replace the pipe they should wrap it b4 they put it back in. if it was not such a big job i would wrap mine

James...I just called the dealer to give him this info and he said they were planning to check the rear out also....thanks so much

I agree, but lets see if BRP goes along with paying for replacing aftermarket upgrades.
The pipes were wrapped by BRP... FB was one of the 1st to have the melted master cyl .. and they didn't have a plan to fix it at that point. They had the dealer wrap the pipes. Later they came out with the recall.

Yes, it is the same Carlo that you met and remember. Great guy and now that he's back we'll be working closely together.
Thanks and I want to welcome him back, although I never needed his services I have read a lot of stories from other Spyderlovers and he is truly a legend.
