BRP floor boards

Has anyone tried the new BRP floorboards, I tried them today, they feel great on the automatic, but on the straight drive the foot shifter is a little close, also the air on the throtttle side where everyone puts the spyderweb, is blocked off and re-routed to keep the heat off of your rt foot. The floorboards sell for $240 and the insulation for the rt or throttle side is $40 and installation is $100 and takes 2hrs at dealer.:clap:

BRP floorboards

I saw them tonight at the local fair, a dealer had them on one of their spyders, they are very strong and rigid, you can stand up on them and they do not flex, they are black like the bottom of the spyder, and would keep your feet dry in the rain. The black plastic at the bottom is actually cut out enough for your feet to be under the plastic while placing them on the floor boards, and do not spread your legs like the highway pegs, putting pressure on you hips.

That's would've been nice the other day...although I doubt anything helps with thunderstorm quantity of rain for 1.5 hours straight...I wonder if a beach umbrella would've helped...hmmmm...

These are official BRP accessory? Have not seen them on their site or at any dealer. :dontknow:

Those are not 'BRP' floorboards---- they are made by SpyderCity--- who happens to also be a dealer.

As with anything - ya get what ya pay for---- for $240 they might work just fine--- but I know heat has been a BIG problem---which is why they came up with the extra heath shield.

Yes, the pictures of the floorboards in the SpyderCity add are what I saw, but the dealer told me they were BRP. They were well built, comfortable position for the SE5 but on the SM5 the gear shift was very close to your heel.:f_spider:

Could this be part of the testing for the new touring model? I have seen photos of two Spyders with these on so someone is making them. I like the new emergency brake also.

Pretty neat looking--- doubt they are OEM BRP items though.

How could they not be BRP?That took some money to make those molds and the paint is a mstch.I'm thinking BRP.or Lamonster maybe.

Those are more than floorboards, more like outriggers, but very nicely matched to the Spyder lines. The plastic work is really nice, but it will be interesting to see how it is mounted to provide the required structural support.
