There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. BRP cutting jobs and production

It looks like BRP is cutting 1000 jobs and cutting back worldwide production by 20% because of economic conditions :yikes:

This is a good thing. Smart business decision and means that we can count on them being around at least a few more years.

I did notice in the article that there was no mention of the Spyder in the divisions and products being trimmed back :dontknow: Could be an oversight by the journalist or maybe it's still the one product in demand. :2thumbs:

The article did state that the cutback applied to all divisions. I'm sure the reporter just picked the most widely known product names to put in the report, not every BRP product name.

Spyder is part of the Can-am brand.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Bombardier makes airplanes as well...if this is the case, I was on one a couple of days ago...

It's likely that this division is slowing down...

There is a nice demand for the Spyders...they'll continue to make them as long as the want/need is there...

Bombardier is huge into Trains and Rapid transit (subway cars etc as well) there are some pretty big layoffs for those in the Aircraft division. Ski Doo, Sea Doo & Can Am are a very small part of thier operation. 20% from the Recreation Division would not send a lot people home from the lines. Not good however, if you are one of them

The BRP is a separate company from the division that makes Lear jets and people movers. No longer any connection. (except the name Bombardier)
