• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

BRP Comfort Seat for RT

I'm shopping for a new seat and wonder how this seat compares to an Ultimate Seat? I see that the Comfort Seat moves the rider back 2'' compared to 1.5 for the Ultimate Seat. That sounds good but I want a seat that feels like I'm sitting in it not on it. Does anyone have a Comfort Seat? Has anyone tried both seats? I'd love some advice.

Got the comfort seat, but got it from day one, so don't have any comparison. Like the extra 2" and wife still seems to have enough room, but again, nothing to compare to.

Believe me you will not regret buying the Ultimate seat. I have heard people say they were not that happy with the deluxe seat that BRP sells. I don't have the seat that sets you back 1.5", but I have the standard and am very happy I waited for it to come out. Check out my seat in my mods below.

I tried the comfort seat for a little while. They built my Ultimate this past week. I've got the Tall coming. That's the one that sits back 1 1/2". As soon as I get it & installed, I'll post some pics.

I love the one that come on our bike so I have nothing to compare it too... but the factory one is very comfy. I am considering purchasing some arm rests... does anyone have these already? do you recommend them?

I am also looking. I wonder if the installation is very difficult?

I have had the Ultimate on for a couple hundred miles and it's a significant improvement over the original. The stock seat was OK locally but on a couple of hundred+ miles per trip, my butt burned. So far so good with the Ultimate.

However, when installing it be real careful with the rear hinge on the seat. There is a open slot below the hinge and if you drop a part, like I did, you're screwed! It took me hours with a magnet to get it out. When you start to work, stuff a rag down that slot - some other thread here suggested that but I didn't do it.:banghead:

Here check my mods out on the link below and you will see my arm rest. My wife loves them.

Like the way that you recorded your mods with pictures, very nice. Where did you get your armrests, and third brake light?

There both from board sponsor, go to the home page and you will see the links.

Arm rests are from Diamon R Accessories.

Third brake light can be purchased from either Tricled or Custom Dynanics.

Thanks Grandpa!! I think I would really like those arm rest... my hubby would like those foot pegs too, (sorry if that's not the technical name) :)

I'm real curious about those seats moving the riding back a bit... Does anybody know what (If anything) can be done to keep the passenger seating area from shrinking? My Missus and Tink need all the room that they've got... and then some!
Uh-oh... I gotta run!

Altered seat...

Had my seat moved back ~3"... much better leg position for this 6'4" guy...

Just had a two-up for the first time this about two weeks ago... both back seaters are not skinny (not heavy either) and each had plenty of room... (one at a time :opps:)
