• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

BRP Closed for THREE Weeks

Has anyone else heard that BRP is closed for three weeks INCLUDING the parts department? Can this be true?

They probably shut the factory down so everyone could take vacations. This way, the factory stays dark, and nothing goes to waste.

Could this also have something to do with the shifting of some product to new production facilities?
Seems (I think)sea doo and ski doo's are being made in Mexico or some foriegn country and they send em back here to be put together...BUT they come in broken pieces due to lack of good packing, pieces missing out of motors( like a piston) and other crap like that. If BRP wants their stuff to sell here they need to get back to AMERICAN mechanics working on their stuff.

It will probably be during the "Construction Holiday" here in Quebec. A large % of Quebec shuts down for 2-3 weeks every year.

They have closed for two weeks the past two years but maybe they need the extra week to retool for the new models.

I agree. Auto manufacturers shut down a few weeks every summer to retool for the next model year production.

But I haven't heard anything about BRP shutting down...

I understand a production shutdown. What I heard was the parts department was also shut down. If you need a part for a repair we will have to wait until the shutdown is over. For some folks the Spyder is their day to day transportation.

They have a parts hub in Georgia... I doubt that shuts down... though it may run out of parts on hand.

I believe Canada has a yearly thing where much of the population is on vacation... Darn socialists! So this isn't a big deal, and they probably wrap a lot of planning around re-tooling, heavy maintenance and so forth... so, I wouldn't read too much into it.

I hope theres parts here in US!!!! Mine been in shop for a week, waiting in line to be looked at, parts has not been ordered yet "throttle body and maybe a DPS" Got to have it home befor August:shocked:
