• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

BRP called to get feedback on Spyder

Amanda B.....you should stay here on this site! you shouldnt be made to feel guilty about anything anyone else has posted here in this forum! you did a good thing in posting what you did! :chat::clap::thumbup:

Nancys Toy.....thanks for your reply to my PM. :agree: i do think we have a diff. of opinions. i wont do what you suggested but i also respect you for your decision to do that if you want.....its really not a big deal. and i really hope you throughly enjoy your new RT-S when you get it...for all of us, owners and nonowners alike! (just try not to hold it over our heads, some of us are jealous of you already)! :2thumbs:

i have come to the conclusion that i made some mistakes here on this forum (and/or this post particularly), so since i am not an owner of a spyder of any kind, i will from now on keep my fingers tied when i visit this site, until i become an owner! besides, i know sometimes i come across as mean spirited in my wordings. some get me, and some dont!
since i dont own a Spyder, (something that has been pointed out to me), i will keep my big bazooo shut, because i dont want to start anymore issues. i told Lamonster i would help in any way i could to keep this site going...and maybe this is the only way i can help!

i want to thank everyone for their comments, suggestions, and for helping me understand what the Spyder is all about and how much fun i could have just having one for myself. also, i would like to thank all of you who have gone through all of the Spyders issues so that, one day, i can have a chance to own one that is mostly problem free.

this has been a great experience (until just recently) and until i am a Spyder OWNER....
RIDE ON AND RIDE SAFE....PEACE TO ALL, I'M OUT! :(

Oh don't worry about it. Sounds like you have a temper like me. Jeez, that is scary. :2thumbs::roflblack: Sometimes people like us get a little emotional when we are nudged a bit.

Wow... kinda sounds like the Obama administration going after Fox News for not remaining in lock-step.

Why can't we just agree to disagree?

Since when does somebody have to be a owner to express an opinion?

Very good - I love the Obama/Fox analogy.

And Yes, I think it's good that we are all have individual thoughts and yep - it's good to agree to disagree:2thumbs:

Amanda B, thanks for posting the information about the phone calls from BRP. I will also be looking forward to getting one from them. We may be some of the lucky ones, as we seem to have a good dealer that does their best to take care of our Spyders. The only issue for us is that they are 2 hours away, so many of the miles on my Spyder are from going there almost every weekend. Now that the second update has been applied I am hoping the trips will be much less frequent.

The Spyder may have a few kinks to work out still, but I would not trade it for anything right now.

Update on BRP responce

Hello all, I just wanted to give an update to my :spyder2:issues .I had recieved very poor service right after the purchase of my :spyder2:.I had an oil leak and the dealer had not completed my first service.I finally recieved some help from BRP and eventually Carlo. My issues are now resolved and I seem to have a decent relationship with my dealer .I thought they would treat me with contempt ,not the case so far .
I just want to thank BRP and my dealer for finally addressing the problems and putting the joy back in my purchase .:2thumbs:

Glad to hear it, and especially glad that the dealer isn't treating you poorly after having to get BRP involved. :congrats:

Emotions

I feel, if your a person your entitled to have thoughts and feelings. Some people are better then others at expressing them, putting them into words or just controlling them. But we all are entitled to have them. If your a consumer, which we all are, we want the respect of all companies to treat us with it. Do to we are spending our hard earned money for all products. The opinions in this fourm, if they are good or bad are just that opinions, as long as they aren't personnel attacks to a individual I feel just accept them for what they are. I enjoy reading all the thoughts of everyone, it gives me something to think about and I've learned so much. I thank all you for your thoughts, feelings and ideas.
