• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

BRP Backrest for Comfort Seat

I would buy it again, my back loves it. I have a 2014 with 25,000 miles on it and the backrest has made it a much more enjoyable ride.

I have the BRP riders backrest on my stock seat. It was a little pricey but I would buy it again. It really does make a difference than riding without a backrest. Some of the aftermarket ones that I have seen appear to be considerably smaller than the BRP model. The BRP backrest is large enough to provide support for your entire back but not so large that it is intrusive. While I haven't used an aftermarket backrest I would have concerns that a smaller one would provide adequate support during long trips.

Yes, without a doubt I would buy again. Solid, easy to remove and comfortable from the start. It is a bit pricey but it is worth it as the quality and engineering excellent.

I have had aftermarket on my last RT, it was ok but was loose and lost its adjustment all the time. It had a lot of sloop left and right which makes tight cornering through the rider to the side of the turn which is the opposite of what you want when pushing the limit.

Very easy to remove and put back on, I leave mine on with my passenger, it keeps me from leaning on her. And because it locks under the seat it can,t be stolen

I had a Utopia on the OEM seat and now have a BRP on the comfort seat. The Utopia is more comfortable, mostly because it is adjustable.

I found a small lot of BLACK BRP backrests for the Comfort seat at $350 each - new. That's still over my threshold of pain, so if interested, look to Fleabay.
